Tirohana Estate is a boutique vineyard & winery in Martinborough with an award-winning restaurant, food & wines. We are open seven days per week for lunch & dinner, all day dining and high tea, and wine tasting of our boutique, handmade wines in our Cellar Door. Autumn Season 2025
We are open each day for lunch and dinner (bookings recommended!). We also have a range of all day dining options available including our Tirohana High Tea and Tirohana High Cheese.
As well as our restaurant (which can cater for bookings of all sizes), our year-round permanent Grand Marquee is also in place for very large groups requiring extra space, and group events/functions.
Our Cellar Door and tasting room is also open each day for bottle sales and where you can try some of our handmade boutique Martinborough wines, either the latest releases or some older varieties from the cellar. And the Emporium has a range of artisan house made jams, wine jellies, chutneys, relishes and much more.
Mothers Day in Martinborough 2025 11th May
We are takings bookings for Mothers Day this year and will be offering a special Mothers Day High Tea, lunch and dinner at Tirohana Estate (every Mother who dines on the day will receive a special surprise gift to take away).

Matariki in Martinborough
We are also taking bookings for Matariki this year. On the day itself and over the holiday weekend, we will be celebrating Matariki with its themes of connecting with whanau, to celebrate life and honouring our ancestors and those who have gone before. That time of year (subject to the weather of course) the stars in Martinborough are often so beautiful.
Clients will be welcome to sit outside after their dinners and observe the stars (maybe with a glass of wine, cocktail or hot chocolate?). We will also be planting something for Matariki that weekend, symbolising a celebration of life. To secure a table, bookings are recommended now for Matariki and there will be no surcharge over the holiday period.
MidWinter Christmas Lunch and Dinner event in Martinborough June and July 2025

If you can’t bear to leave 🙂 , then why not stay? Tirohana Colonial House is available for groups from 2 up until 16 people. We have a range of accommodation packages including our Girls Night In, the Autumn and Winter Celebration package, mid-week specials and other special offers. Tirohana High Tea, served daily and all day
The Tirohana High Tea is served daily (bookings recommended) year round at Tirohana Estate’s Vineyard estate in Martinborough. This offers a well priced experience which can be served inside or outside overlooking the vines – so if you have a craving for scones and cakes (savouries too), wherever you’re from – the Wairarapa, the Greater Wellington area or further afield – the High Tea has high tea down to a t! 🙂
